Between October 1st, 2015 and March 1st, 2016 Mark served as the CEO of Cox Automotive Software Group which was formed when Dealertrack, a company he co-founded, was acquired by Cox Automotive for approximately $4 billion. Prior to Dealertrack being acquired, O’Neil served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, as well as a member of the board of directors. Dealertrack went public on the NASDAQ in December 2005. O’Neil began his career at Intel Corporation, and subsequently
worked for McKinsey & Co. before moving to the automotive industry in the late 1980's. O’Neil’s experience in the automotive industry includes serving as President of Ertley MotorWorld, a dealer group based in Pennsylvania. From this traditional retail dealer group, he co-founded and co-led the development and rollout of CarMax, Inc., a publicly-held used automobile retailer.
